Odisha mangoes now grow as exports to France, Belgium

In one success, Odish has successfully added France and Belgium to the list of mango export destinations and strengthened the emergence of the state as an agricultural export center. This performance has already added to the growing list of international markets, including Dubai, London, Birmingham, Rome, Venice and Dublin.

Deputy Director (DDH) of the production (DDH) said, “The global acceptance of Odisha mangoes in markets like France and Belgium reflects the ability of our farmers and the strength of our horticultural seminar.”

In the first week of June 225, 1.4.4 Metric Ton (MT) was exported to Mango London and Dubai, with a significant contribution by farmers’ producing organizations (FPOs). It was possible to export through the active participation of the Saptasanasan Farmer Producers Company, Dhani RO Gro Plus Company, Kankadhadh Farmer Producers Company and Sugandha Farmer Producers Company.

Since the export started in May 224, Odisha’s Agri-Export Volume has been around 5 meters ton, mango-specially Amrapalli and Dashari varieties are one of the most important percentage.

Expanding the new market has given direct benefits to Odisha’s agricultural communities. Farmers have earned 40-60% higher prices for their mangoes due to direct export access, improved quality standards and FPP.

In 2024-25, Odisha entered seven international internationals. In the first few months of 2-3, the state has already exceeded the number in terms of destination and export volumes. This increasing pace reflects the efforts of the state as the leading age-export center of the Odisha government.
